HTTPPOST/HTTPGET Concatenated Messages Gateway - Explained
Info regarding our normal gateway (which support the same variables to our concatenated ones) can be find at http://www.aql.com/site/developerinfo2.php
Apart from our normal gateway, we now have:
http://gw1.aql.com/sms/postmsg-concat.php
and
http://gw1.aql.com/sms/postmsg-concat-multiple.php
Both of these gateways are able to send messages which are longer than 160 characters. They have one extra variable called maxconcat. This variable (an integer) is used to limit the amount of messages you would like to send. So that you do not use up more credit than you intended to.
There are few things you need to note. Concatenated messages requires a header to identify which message comes before the other, time of sending, id, etc. This extra information takes up the space for 9 characters. Therefore a 2-part concatenated message could only contain 151 x 2 characters as opposed to 160 x 2.
Also some special characters take up 2 spaces.
